"Performance is the moment where preparation meets pressure."- Coach Kylie
I've spent years helping adults perform at their peak.
Every single time, I find myself asking the same question —
What if they'd learned this at fifteen?
Apex Academy is my answer.
Most young people are never taught how they operate under pressure.
They're told to calm down. To try harder. To focus.
But nobody shows them how.
That ends here.
Apex Academy takes the same tools used by elite athletes, high performers, and champions — and delivers them to young people at the age when it actually changes everything.
Thirteen Years in the Making
Apex Academy isn't a program built in a semester — it's the result of thirteen years coaching teenagers one-on-one, in small groups, and on full teams, refined session by session into a documented method. Close to 100 teens have trained on these principles, across rowing, volleyball, soccer, dance, football, and basketball. Apex Academy is what that work adds up to — led by Coach Kylie Tullipan, a Peak Performance Coach and Mental Resilience Specialist (StrongFirst L2) who trains executives and elite athletes, now bringing the same tools to teenagers at the age they matter most.
Before the patterns get locked in. Before the pressure gets real. Before it's too late to make it a habit.
In this program students are:
EDUCATED. EMPOWERED. CHALLENGED.
Learning the key tools to become a true champion — in sport and in life.
1. MINDSET — Think Limitless
Your thoughts shape your reality.
Students cultivate a growth-driven mindset — transforming challenges into opportunities, fear into curiosity, and setbacks into stepping stones. This pillar builds self-awareness, ownership, and a strong internal narrative for success inside and outside the classroom, on and off the field.
2. EMOTIONAL MASTERY — Own Your Calm
Stress and emotion are inevitable. Response is a choice.
Students develop tools to regulate emotions, manage impulses, and stay grounded under pressure. Emotional mastery creates clarity, confidence, and resilience — in life and in performance.
3. FOCUS AND FLOW — Attention Unleashed
Presence is power.
Students train their attention, learn to manage distraction, and enter flow states where challenge meets skill. Focus enhances engagement, accelerates learning, and boosts performance — whether studying, creating, or competing.
4. MOVEMENT AND SKILL — Strong Body, Strong Mind
Movement is the foundation of performance.
Students build physical strength, coordination, balance, and breath control — while reinforcing mental and emotional resilience. This pillar includes fine motor skills, mobility, visualisation, and recovery practices that prepare the body to sustain performance for life.
5. PERFORMANCE — Turn Skills Into Action
This is where it all comes together.
Performance is about thriving — not just surviving. Students apply mindset, emotional mastery, focus, and physical skill to achieve real goals. They learn to step up, embrace challenges, and perform consistently in school, sport, and life.
Apex Academy equips students with the tools, habits, and mindset to perform at their best every day. Each pillar reinforces the others — creating stronger, more capable, and more confident young leaders ready to face life's challenges with clarity, courage, and consistency.
Parents — imagine your child walking into pressure with clarity instead of chaos.
Not because they got lucky. Because they were taught how.
The tools we teach in Apex Academy are the ones most of us had to figure out the hard way — years too late, after the mistakes had already been made.
Do you want your young person to be seen for their character, commitment, and resilience — every single day? In the classroom, on the field, in life?
That's what Apex Academy builds.
If you can see it, you can achieve it. We give young people the vision framework — and the practical toolkit — to win on the field and in life.
Breathe better. Think clearer. Perform when it matters.
In Their Own Words
“Both kids feel really positive about the experience and their own performance — with a real desire to keep building on these skills.”
“The breathing and self-talk - I still use it, mostly on the volleyball court.”
“I’ve used the problem-solving tool ever since — write it down, talk it through, map out how to get there. It applies to everything, not just sport.”
Bring Apex In
Apex Academy works two ways — as a program for your own teen, or as a partnership with your school. Whichever brings you here, reach out and let's talk through what it could look like.
